Overview
In UKG Dimensions, a timekeeping application, users will navigate to an employee’s timecard and edit missed punches, late time in or out, paid time off, and other items that affect payroll. To make this process easier the UX team suggested incorporating an AI element in provided two different design options ‘slat’ and ‘carousel’.
Project Goals
Obtain feedback on both Carousel and Slat tile concepts
Obtain feedback on using and not using AIMEE
Process
Step 2: Interviews
Overall: 6 individual interviews that were1 hour-long remote interviews
Participants: Police Officer, Event Coordinator, Admin Assistant for a Police Station, Patrol Commander, Day Shift Commander, Lieutenant
While writing the interview script I focused on the 6 items I wanted to gather more information on:
Background information of the individual and agency
High-level process of what an agency does once an off-duty request is submitted
The details of the processing and scheduling of an off-duty request
What happens if a request is modified or canceled
How the agency is currently using TeleStaff (if they are)
Details on how officers are paid, keep track of their hours and any paperwork the agency has to process due to an off-duty request
“I just want enough room to add the information I need and not have to follow up with an email full of detials”
Step 3: Analysis
During the analysis phase, I took all the notes and interview recordings and compiled the data to pull out trends. The top trends included:
High-level process of what an agency does once an off-duty request is submitted
The details of the processing and scheduling of an off-duty request
What happens if a request is modified or canceled
How the agency is currently using TeleStaff (if they are)
Details on how officers are paid, keep track of their hours and any paperwork the agency has to process due to an off-duty request
